On page load, a dialog modal is displayed over the map giving the user a brief introduction of the website and navigations instructions. This dialog can be closed by clicking the Close button at the bottom of the footer. If you would like to not have this dialog shown in the next website visits, select the checkbox "Don't show this modal on page load".
The home page of the website features a navigation section, main cont, and quick links on the footer.
The map of stations presents a region of Southern Africa. The locations of stations that have transmitted data in the last 48 hours are mapped as blocks on the map. Each block indicates the time of the last recording at the station, the measured air temperature and rainfall.
Clicking on the station opens a popup block that shows a picture (if available) of the station hardware, indication of the data catalog available for the station, as well as links to all the relevant pages of the station, including the hourly, daily, and monthly views, data page, and information sheet.
By default, all the stations in all 5 countries that have transmitted data in the last 48 hours are displayed.
To only view stations in one or more countries, select the respective checkboxes and click the Filter button.
To view all stations, regardless of whether they have transmitted data in the last 48 hours or not, click the "Show all stations" checkbox and click the Filter button.
If you would like to see all stations mapped, regardless of when last they transmitted data, click the "Show welcome modal" link on the filters section.
